The Future of the Past

The Qatar Sudan Archaeological Project (QSAP) was unique in its scope and purpose. 47 teams from 10 countries were excavating, researching, restoring and conserving millennia-old cities along the Nile, legendary kingdoms in the Sudanese savannah and abandoned oases amidst the hostile Sahara. Their work changed the perception of the African influence on European history.
